This design is based on a modern interpretation of the cross, but made in a traditional labor-intensive technique. Jeroen chose a colorful design that reflects the joy and wholeness of the resurrection. The application technique is an old, traditional technique in which pieces of fabric are laid on top of each other like a mosaic until the final design comes about.
In the video below you can see how this parament is made by hand with a great deal of attention and care in our studio in Bruges.

Jeroen Kerre

Jeroen was born in 1975 in Dendermonde and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where he graduated with great honors. Jeroen Kerre has been the creative brain of the Kunstateliers Slabbinck since 2010, where he has been trained since 1999 by Dirk Slabbinck.
